You speak "cat" very well, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteIf he's scared like that BobButtons, ask Ms. Kathy to think about putting him in a crate for a few days. That way he can't hide from you and can get to know everyone. It'll have to be big enough for a litter box and a place to lay and to eat.
ReplyDeleteThat was the plan with the carrier. He used a small space in the zipper front and pushed through and found a hiding spot in the utility room. When we found that spot he squeezed himself behind the washer. I placed a bowl of food nearby and he'd come out when no one was round to eat so I knew he wasn't stuck. I could sit on top of the washer and touch his head.. He let me pet him. Finally on the third day I blocked one exit and used a mop handle to urge him out the other and he let me pick him up. We put him in the bathroom for his own space. He liked that a lot. He goes in there to be alone and comes out to see us when he's ready.
DeleteHe looks alot like June Buggie. If he acts like June Buggie, you got trouble on your hands!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Not so far, Rumpy. He's very cuddly and still quite shy. I can tell he has that 'curious cat' trait. He checks out every corner of a room and comes back for head and chin rubs. nbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb I just need to teach him not to step on the key board.
